Retaining control over at least 75% of territory… Zelenskyy: Open to peace talks if status quo is frozen

According to a report by the Interfax-Ukraine news agency on the 21st, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated during a live interview with Fox News that he would be open to a peace agreement, provided that Ukraine retains control over at least 75% of its territory.

During the live broadcast, the host asked Zelenskyy whether he would accept a peace deal that involves “freezing the status quo”—with Ukraine retaining 75% or more of its territory. Zelenskyy responded: “Yes, we must freeze it now; I believe this is a realistic way to end this war.” Ukraine would subsequently seek security guarantees from the U.S. President and European allies “to ensure peace and security.”
